Angels Among Us

Memory by Alice

At dad's funeral, the Bishop shared a story about a single mother in his ward that was really struggling. Her power was cut off, her family needed food and other help. The Bishop wasn't sure what to do. As he walked out of his office at the church, he saw dad out in the foyer and had the impression to ask him if he would be able to help this young mother with her family. He asked dad to come into his office, where he explaned the situation and asked if dad could give her $100. He looked at the Bishop with a straight face and said no, he could not do that. He then told the Bishop he would give her $200, which he did and then helped buy her groceries and help her out with other things she needed.

As that story was told, I was not suprized...dad was always like that. He never had much money to give, but whatever he had, he gave without any question.

I believe that dad was an earthly angel to many and now he is a spiritual angel to all of us, whenever and wherever we need him.
