Well, this family joke might have been hidden from dad...We nicknamed him "J.D.G." short for Johnny Do Gooder. He was always wanting to do good deeds for everyone and sometimes it was almost "too much." :)
He loved to be in the mountains and he spent several summers working for the Forest Service. He would always be looking out for "mountain law violators." He would carry his camera and hope for an opportunity to catch someone in the act of violation. He would inconspicuously hold his camera as he drove by violators and take a quick picture as he continued looking forward "pretending" not to notice. He was so excited to show his "proof" to the Forest Service Law Enforcers. They could count on dad to be on their investigation team! :)

Within the last few years he received his own Law Enforcement License, with his very own "Incident Report" Book to issue real warning tickets to violators. I can only imagine how proud he must have been to be able to feel all official. Way to go Dad!
